COMPANY

History

Over 100 years ago Campia was initially established as a lumber company in the northern Italian city of Asti. In the course of the 1960s Campia cultivated an instant success both in the domestic and international market of packaging and crating with the developing new products and new technology.

The first range of pallet boxes were created to satisfy the specific needs of one of the world's leading car industry, a client whom Campia has been offering its services for the past fifty years.

In 1980 Campia puts its collapsible pallet box on the Italian market, soon meeting the needs and requirements of the most demanding clients.

The continuous attention to improve its products and an eye on a wider market, qualified Campia to meet UNI EN ISO 9001 standards in 1996.
In the following years Campia conquered new markets such as: the wine producers sectors; Campia patents keg-holders and boxes that are both aesthetically pleasing and practical, providing the best material for wine-cellar wood. Since 2004, all wood products meet the ISPM 15 FAO standards.

In 2009, Campia Imballaggi srl continued to develop by creating the Plasticollar, a cutting edge 100% plastic pallet container with a unique "collar" system. Making use of the fifty years experience in the packaging sector, these collapsible collars are created in polypropylene. The use of PP matches the wood products resistance, while remaining remarkably strong, smooth and easy to clean.

Campia Imballaggi is a family business for over a 100 years. Today it is located in Baldichieri d’Asti, where its productive units cover 5000 m2 on a complex surface of 30.000 m2.
